Job Description
Senior Budget Analyst
Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Work You'll Do
  • Leverage your deep expertise in military budgeting and financial analysis to inform critical budgetary decisions and drive mission success within a professional services or military setting.
  • Analyze, manipulate, and report on complex financial datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel skills, providing essential insights to inform leadership and program outcomes.
  • Collaborate directly with senior leadership, delivering tailored financial briefings, recommendations, and actionable intelligence to support key decision-making initiatives.
  • Provide expert-level support and oversight for financial management systems, including PBIS (Program Budget Information System), Navy ERP, and the Advana/Jupiter analytics platform. You'll help ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in funds control and reporting.

Our Business Finance offering enables finance to drive strategic value through transformation and synchronization of planning, costing, budgeting and forecasting across finance and other functions. Using advanced, scalable data and tech platforms, we also generate actionable insights and analytics, streamline decision making and enable data driven profitable growth. Manages risk and opportunities associated with diverse and complex grant programs through end-to-end grants management solutions.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or similar quantitative subject
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC 3-4 days per week
  • 5+ years' experience with PBIS (Program Budget Information System), Navy ERP for funds control and financial management, and Advana/Jupiter analytics platform
  • 5+ years of experience providing direct support to and briefing to Senior Leadership
  • 7+ years of expertise in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis, manipulation, and reporting
  • 7+ years of deep knowledge experience of the PPBE process.
  • 10+ years of relevant Military financial/budgetary analysis experience, preferably in a professional services firm or Military organization

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,700 to $229,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
